We started toilet training our son last Wednesday and so far he urinates in the potty successfully. He only makes #2 in his pamper (which I put on at night)
During the day he just wears a long undershirt.
Also, when and how do you introduce underwear?

You can try introducing underwear now. If he only poops in his diaper so far then he can probably be relied upon to ask for one when it's time.
It's very common for poop to take longer to train. More emotional issues; it's a harder transition. (There can also be physical issues, like if their stool is sometimes not so soft.)
