Any change in Home purchasing interest, since the raise in interest rates?
How will this affect real estate income dependent people (agent, etc), now and going forward?
Is interest in, and ability to buy homes any different in NJ and NY for any reason, or is everyone in the same boat?
Have some figured out how to outsmart the system?

I'm not an agent but I'm in the real estate field in Lakewood....home buying has definitely slowed down but among the wealthy and investors it's still going strong.
Buyers are starting to have more of an advantage and there aren't the massive bidding wars like there was just months ago. The only option if you really need to buy now is to buy at these higher interest rates at hopefully a lower purchase price and then refinance when the rates go down. you can refinance even in a year if the rates go down a drop and then a second and third time etc. as the rates slowly drop.
