I find 10 tog is about right, but some people prefer lighter and others heavier. I've bought from Argos and Dunelm in the past. Not sure what you mean about hollowfibre though.

I think we have synthetic. Don't know if that's the same thing. We bought down once and were disappointed at how it ended up clumping together. I'm happy with what we have. Think we currently have

and are happy with it. Obviously it depends a lot on how much you're looking to spend.

I find only down moderate body temperature properly. I swear with a 4tog synthetic and am fine with a 7 tog down. I get from marks and Spencer sale the down is quite reasonable. It's a bit crinkly but holds up well and washes well also

I love our down ones, which we have had for many years and haven't clumped.

We do get synthetic ones for the kids, but recently got a down one for one kids bedroom and they love it. Not sure of the tog. I ordered one from amazon recently but they cancelled so bought in a local shop.

My teens seem to sleep perfectly well with synthetic ones, so not sure if down for all is necessary!!!! LOL
