My 7 year old DS does not like swimming or sports. He is allowed to bring games from home to play during swim/sports at camp. (Not electronic).

What are some ideas?

We are not a "games family" so he doesn't even know basic games like old maid or go fish. So please suggest choices that will be easy to teach him.

Thank you!

thinkfun has good one person games but they have pieces so depends if he's the type to lose the pieces...
there's solitaire with a deck of cards.

Do they still make the game "Hi-Q"?

That was popular when I was a kid.

Does he like word or number games? Maybe a sudoku or word search book would be more useful.

I vaguely remember loving hi-q - thanks best bubby!

yes, totally, he loves word search and stuff. that's a good idea - an activity book like that.

thank you everyone!

My kids loved doing sticker books at that age.
There are some really nice ones out there.

Does he like art?
Maybe some colored clay or playdough if he'd like that to form things, or a color by number, etc
