I don’t usually go to weddings

Fancy cocktail-length dress, not a gown. Black or color is fine. You will see a lot of flowy dresses and metallics. Many summer parties in Deal are outdoors, so consider that when choosing your footwear.

Pretty but these dresses would be challenging and expensive to line/make tznius or wear a shell under would be tough

Op just wear a pretty tznius fancy shabbos dress or dress you usually wear to weddings.

I'm not sefardi, so that might be a whole other style. I just recently went to an MO wedding as friends of the parents of the kallah and almost all the women my age (40s) were wearing fancy cocktail length dresses. There were lots of florals and some plainer or more geometric. Most women wore light colors but my black dress was not the only dark one there.

I would look at Jewish weddings posted by hair/makeup/photographers on Instagram who are servicing this kind of wedding — it will give you a wide variety of ideas, and you likely have something already in your closet that can work!

The wedding is a modern wedding
DH and I will not stay after chuppah since there most probably be mixed dancing

Mine is missing the bow so I went on line looking for the bow.
That’s when I found it’s a Gucci knockoff
I just bought it becauce I liked it .

Depends on the crowd. Tznius? Some of these weddings can be a wide range. I went to weddings there where you had women very exposed mingling with very tznius women and it’s OK however you come. (I also went to Deal yeshivish weddings which were mostly frum styles, but doesn’t seem you asked about that.) I think a midi flowy light colored dress as is in style now will be nice.
