Breville has counter top ovens that are excellent and can really substitute for a real oven. They aren’t cheap but the larger ones produce excellent results.

In my experience you can’t bake in a regular toaster oven as the heat doesn’t circulate properly.

I think you are in the UK so would need to get one that is wired for your electrical requirements but this is the top of the line US version

What do you mean by "cheese toast"?

I make open faced sandwiches in my toaster oven with cheese all the time.

If I made a lot of grilled cheese sandwiches I would invest in a Panini style grill. Cuisnart makes a very good one as it can also be used as a flat grill.

If you have a gas oven the absolute best grilled cheese sandwiches are made in a Toastite - This was the very first thing I learned how to cook when I was a kid and I passed on the tradition to my kids. I still have the original Toastite I inherited from my mother. Smile

I never got around to making a Toas-Tite apple pie but there is still time Sad
