Baked challah late, and just too it outta the oven. I usually bag them and freeze them when cooled but I’m so tired I just want to sleep. Can I let them cool on the counter and then bag and freeze in the morning? Challahs will be out for 7 hours

Why ever not? I usually cover them with clean dish towel, just for cleanliness.

Yes. I loosely cover with tinfoil but totally fine.
