My DD is looking into becoming a videographer professionally. She took a short course online but really has an innate talent for filming.
She wants to start working but doesn't know where to start. She is 20yo and very motivated. She has tried cold calling but everyone turned her down.
How can I best advise her? How can she find out who needs a video to be made?

Tell her to apply to already established video studios. She should bring examples of her work

Maybe she can offer a free promo video to a business in exchange for advertising.

I just saw someone post this and thought of you.
"Seeking female videographer to work in a day camp in Brooklyn. Please text or whatsapp 347 309 9233."

thank you. that was so thoughtful of you!
I will pass it on to her.
just as an update. she tried calling and emailing so many different places, and they all shot her down. they want experience or "they have someone already" or they simply just weren't looking for this sort of thing now.
