I saw some pictures in a kids magazine of portraits or pictures that kids made out of something that looks like flat Lego, but it’s flat on top too. My child asked me where to get these pieces. Any ideas? Some kind of Lego mosaic art but without the bumps? I doubt they had enough of the flat pieces if it were actual Lego, so I’m thinking it’s another type of toy

I remember playing with those Very Happy
Can't remember the name, I'll try check later. they're tiny though. it's mosaic tiles that you can "prick" on a board.

These are not legos.

They are more like a craft like activity that is one time use.

Not sure how they’re called but I’ve bought them in the craft section as a kit.

I think OP means the picture of the bunny rabbit.
It looks like thus foam sticker mosaic craft. Tiny pieces of foam that you stick on to a paper to create the picture. It's definitely not lego.

The rabbit on the bottom. Not the partial photo above it.
Oops cross posted!
It looks more plasticy than those stickers and more angular and not shiny so not diamond art.
I don’t know!

Oh wow thanks for posting
I think my grandkids would like this
It looks easier than díamond art or paint by number but intricate enough for 10+ yr olds
Please let me know if that’s true

Any Jewish ones that are so intricate

Its called 'Mostaix'. Walmart has a variety in different sizes.

https://www.walmart.com/search?q=mostaix

I would say, start with junior version, and if they like it get the bigger ones. It says ages 4+ but I dont think most 4 year olds would have the patience. They're very small pieces.
