We moved and threw away the only ones because they were damaging the wood floor in the new apartment

If you don't have any chairs at all, there might be room to say yes. Or if there is a special offer where you are saving a significant amount of money.

There is nothing wrong with using kitchen chairs for a week or two, until after Tisha b'Av. If I bought new ones during the nine days, I probably wouldn't use them until afterwards.

It's a halachic question. You need to ask your Rav for a definitive answer.

This is really a question for your lor. But something to think about is, is it something that really can't wait another week?

I would just wait. Personally. I am always nervous about there not being mazel in items bought during the 9 days. I would just use folding chairs or kitchen chairs or borrow.

You knew you were moving. You knew you wouldn't have chairs. Why didn't you buy before and have them delivered today?

If you waited this long, I'd wait one more week. DR chairs are usually an expensive purchase.

Any way to wait a week? Use chair socks so whatever you're using doesn't ruin the floor.

Years ago I bought a used dining room set during the nine days. It had to be out of the persons house before nine days were up. Therefore the rav said it was ok
