Is there such a thing as a no-rise rugelach recipe?
If so, can anyone post?
If not, anyone have quick and easy recipe to share?
Preferably looking for one that makes a small batch and that doesn't require challah to be taken...
TIA!

My regular: buy the yitzys pre-rolled pastry sheets. Roll it out. Buy the bakers choice cream. Any flavor. Smear the cream onto the rolled out sheets. Cut into triangles. Roll into rugalach. Bake on 350.

I once had a recipe with flour, confectionary sugar, and margarine. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? Sorry, don't have it anymore cuz we don't eat that kind of stuff for the past bunch of years... Maybe someone here will have it.

I use a similar one from the purple cookbook. Haven't made it in years bc it's so unhealthy but it's easy and very yum!
4 sticks margarine
1 riches whip
5 1/2- 6 1/2 cups flour.
Cream the margarine, add the whip and then incorporate the flour one cup at a time. Chill dough for best results. This is like a flaky/melt in your mouth style dough and tastes best with confectioners sugar sprinkled on top. (The dough itself isn't really sweet)

Oh wow, super unhealthy lol.
I might consider it if I'm that desperate.
What would you do as filling?

Did you make this? If so, did you find it easy to work with?
The initial part sounds interesting and it's my type to mess up on it.

I honestly forgot about it but I should make it again it was such an easy good dough and so easy to roll that's why I did it too thin and it was crunchy
