Am I allowed to wear a never worn snood? Should I wait for Shabbos? Is it under category of a new beged?

Also, I never asked but I assume its ok, its a basic garment not something major.

Only ones that we rarely buy, not regular clothing.
The halacha is not to make shecheyanu during the three weeks and since we don't make it on something like a snood (or shirt or skirt etc), no need to wait till Shabbos to wear it when one can make shecheyanu.

We hold same.
My father always told us growing up, the Halachah is for something you'd make a shehecheyanu on but to keep the spirit try not to buy if not necessary.
Yes, if I would buy a real major purchase I.e. a new expensive wedding dress, new wig, or the boys a new suit or hat then we would make a shehecheyanu.

We don't actually make "shachayunu" on any new clothing, except DH when he puts on a new טלית קטן/ גדול.
I try to put on a new article of clothing on the second night of YT but don't always.
We don't put on new clothing in Sefirah/ the 3 weeks.
Is it an issue putting on a new hoodie for warmth for example?

Is that a thing? I heard someone mention it recently, and assumed she was confused with the three weeks.
