I am thinking about naming my baby Nina (not Pnina or yonina, just Nina). It means great granddaughter in Hebrew and her middle names would be her great grandmother. Is this a Jewish name? Do you know any ninas? What is the meaning?

There's a Nina in my neighborhood but I don't know her well enough to know if it's short for anything.

I have an older Hebrew baby names book and Nina is in there with the meaning “great-granddaughter”. I actually wanted to use it as a tribute to mine and DH’a grandmothers but he didn’t like it 🤷🏻♀️ Think it’s an adorable name. There’s a Nina in one of my kids classes too.
