Need to make dinner for a friend of mine who just had a baby. Kh it’s a lot of mouths to feed. It’s 9 eating kids remanding from 4-18 plus the parents!
Please give me ideas of food I can make during the 9 days that will be enjoyed by everyone!

A big pan of salad and a big pan of baked ziti. And one of French fries if you’re feeling generous. Why can’t her 18 year old cook by the way?

Pita's, falafel, chummus, techina, israeli salad, pickles etc with a smoothie and pan of oatmeal squares if you've got time.

Maybe the 18 year old is out too early to prep, and comes home too late to give dinner to the younger kids. Maybe the 18 year old is only home part time.

You could send all the components for sushi bowls, that way each kid would just take what they like.

I think baked ziti and salad is easy and liked by most.
Only do fish if you know they like it.

Maybe salmon/tuna croquettes? And plain pasta with a jar of sauce? And steamed green beans.

Not so simple. It’s better to not give younger kids meat if they’re fine with other foods.

Not so clear that you can give chicken to younger children. I was told by a very chasuve rav many years ago that I cannot even to very young children. Please speak to a rav before doing so.

I would do ziti, salad, salmon and soup. I know it sounds like a lot but honestly if you can afford it and handle it , you will definitely cover everyone. A post partum mom especially , needs the protein .

Budget really makes a difference. Buying salmon for 2 adults + teenagers would be quite high where I live. (It's around $14-15 for a serving large enough for one person.)

An 18 year old should make full dinner meals for so many people? I was nowhere close to being able to do that at 18, nor do I think its fair to hand over that responsibility to her
