I light after night fall (except Friday where I light before shabbos candles,) and say I'm lighting a candle liluy nishmas Rav Menachem Mendel ben Rav Yosef M'Riminov lzchus (say the person's name) that/should xyz (say whatever you're hoping for). and then say im Yirtze Hashem if it happens by a certain day, I will publicize it.

Like keep on adding different challenges as it comes per the day or it has to be to light for 40 consecutive days for one specific thing.

I did it for my family and saw yeshuous for multiple things. I asked for myself and whatever else I needed for my kids. My trfillah wasn't the exact same words every day, like if something was a more pressing need, I'd stress on that. But I asked for overall help, not just one request. Bh I saw multiple yeshuous!
