I will start. I think we are having pasta salad w tuna, a tossed salad, watermelon and whatever dessert make for shabbos.

Interestingly enough, the one year I had salty chicken before a fast I had the best fast ever. I think the salt made the water stay in my body for longer.

Same as we do every shabbat, all year round, for all 3 seudot. Electric hotplate (plata).

I am continuously surprised that so many people on imamother ask how to warm up food on shabbat. I really always thought everyone uses a plata like we do!

It's brought down that erev Yom kippur one should not eat fish in the seuda hamafsekess because of sakana getting a bone stuck. I have not seen this minhag for any other fast. In fact, my husband is makpid to have fish at every shabbos/Yom tov meal, including this week shalosh seudos.

Yes, I never understood why people avoid salty foods at seudah hamafsekes "because it'll make them thirsty". I find it naturally encourages me to drink a lot at the meal (a good thing) and potentially helps with water retention over the next day. Not that I serve potato chips or whatever, but normal food...
