My baby (under a year) pulls her hair while drinking her bottle. She pulls it hard enough that clumps have come out. If she’s not pulling her hair she’s scratching her chest till she bleeds. I try to redirect her/ give her a toy or something else to hold but it doesn’t help. I asked my pediatrician about it but he brushed me off, but this doesn’t seem normal to me. Has anyone dealt with this? Should I be concerned? Does anyone know what this possible means or what I can do to stop this?

My friend's toddler did this, she put the kid in a hat constantly so the kid couldn't reach their hair. I'm not sure about the scratching.
