If you were to pick a name (boys or girls or one of both) with the most beautiful meaning, regardless of whether or not you liked the sound, and regardless of whether it would be acceptable in your community, how hard it is to pronounce, whether it is too old-fashioned, too unusual, the kid could be made fun of, etc, and were only choosing by meaning, what would you pick?

I like
Emmanuel "Gd is with us" and
Yehuda (thanking Gd, the name Leah gave her son when she said "this time I will thank Gd", also the name that comes closest to summing up what it means to be Jewish, was one of the Maccabis, and brings to mind Lion = bravery)
I could actually use either one of those.
For girls:
Elisheva
Keshet (same reason as Elisheva)
Geula
Of those, only Elisheva would work in my community.

For boys:
Meir (my older son)
Yehuda (my younger son)
Betzalel (I LOVE this name. Makes me think of giving the baby a Bracha to always be wrapped up safe in the loving protection of Hashem)
Aharon (because of his legacy of peace and humility)
Eliyahu
Yonah
Nachshon (because he was the first to trust Hashem and cross the Yam Suf)
Girls names:
Basya (my daughter)
Tehila
Eliana
Leora
Shira
Yocheved
Chedva (spiritual happiness)
Chana (also an acronym for 3 special women's mitzvos)
Talia (dew ie. sustenance from Hashem)

Also, Tziona. It sounds like a royal princess from Hashem's holy city.

I have a daughter Tova, I always hated the name.
I try to think of its meaning, because I know how beautiful it is, but I still have a hard time with the name!
