My friend in South Bend has a huge property but its JPF. My friend in Cincinnati does also and I think there is a nice chabad community. The heat rules out texas and arizona.

I dont know enough about detroit or cleveland sorry.

Yeah. Texas is NOT for me.

Any clue which areas in the religious folk live in?

Sorry if I'm asking too many questions... Trying to come up with a plan.

The Lakewood area might actually work. You can look into Any of the surrounding areas. Lakewood has a few more open minded chassidish areas, with more open minded neutral schools that might be a good fit.. especially if your kids are coming from a Yiddish speaking school.. some schools won’t care about about driving, phones, sheital length etc..

I've gone through a lot of changes recently and my family wants a new start where we won't bump into people who will make us uncomfortable for re-aligning in a way that works for our family.

Simply for a fresh start where we can be free to be us: People who love Hashem but didn't find the way we were living to be healthy for our family.

Is cost an obstacle?
Some Chabad schools/communities to look into
Morristown
Pittsburg
Toronto-extremely expensive
Los Angeles also very expensive
Detroit the schools are in oak park but if you live in the suburbs you’ll have a lot of land and there are shuls there
Baltimore has schools and is more congested but you can live further out in suburbia near a Shul
Likewise with Chicago many families live further out and drive everyday. There are shuls all over
Philly

BH cost isn't a huge obstacle. I'd like to spend under 1.2 million for a house.
For those who might get rubbed the wrong way by posting that amount of money, please forgive me. I have plenty of other nisyonos in my life! No one has it perfectly easy.

Of the above I'd look into Morristown, Pittsburg and Detroit. Baltimore only had one house (this week) that would be interesting for us but was an hour walk to a shul, so that isn't really an option. I can keep checking the listings to see if that changes.

Thank you for suggestions.

Would moving to a different section help? Like move to Montebello and switch your kids’ schools?

I don't need two houses! Smile I need once nice, spacious, fresh one.

And no, really that's not true. I don't NEED. I want. It would be a blessing that would help my family.
But it's not a need. Just a bracha.

In the process of doing that, actually. Trying to, at least. I have a house that I put down an offer on, but our house is selling at a slower pace and we're thinking that maybe Hashem wants us to think outside the box.... So we're exploring our options since it seems we have more time than we wanted...
