6 or maybe 8 legs. Small and thin body. No wings that I see. We've been finding them in the bathtub in the morning the last few days. I don't know where they're coming from or what they are. Does anyone know? Around half an inch maybe smaller but thin.

Shape of body? If it kind of looks like a walking double-sided comb, it's probably a centipede.

Thanks it's not a centipede. Earwig, I don't think so because these bugs were more medium brown red not so dark, and the body wasn't segmented, and it didn't have that pincher thing in the back.

Take a picture and there is some site online that can help you identify it.

I've never seen roaches that small. Can this be a baby roach? It can't crawl up the bathtub wall, can it be coming from the drain?

It's most likely coming from the drain.

How do they survive in the drain when there's water coming through every so often? What should I pour in the bathtub drain to kill it that won't be damaging for the pipes?

I'm not sure what to use. Ask an exterminator or a plumber.

And in the meantime leave the plug in overnight, or whenever you aren't using it.

They can swim very nicely.

Pour bleach down the drain, bleach can go down the drain. But I'm not sure it's the source of the bugs. They often come from dirt. Maybe you have a neighbor who is dirty and has an infestation that is coming to you? They are babies and need to be eliminated asap so they don't turn into an infestation.

We don't have a plug just the drain.
our plumbing guy told us bleach is bad for the pipes. What else? I've only seen 2 or 3 small ones 3-4 times.

It looks like a young german cockroach. They are very difficult to get rid of once theyve spread so try to get rid of it asap.
