We have a plain wall that we would like one day to put windows in. Any idea what it would run?

Thats it??? To cut through a wall and siding, and the cost of the actual window frame? Either a very large window or several smaller windows?

We just did this in ny. It was $1800 to open the wall and install and the Home Depot standard windows was $1200. It made a huge difference in our small living room. Brightening it and feels more spacious. We liked our contractor. Probably could have shopped around for someone cheaper but felt his work was good and was nervous to have air leaks or mess up on our main room.

Depends on the size of the window.
Window prices have gone up.

Following.. also thinking of doing this. Our development builder frustratingly left an entire wall without windows without the option to even pay for it as an upgrade.

Both floors? In my development, there are no windows upstairs on the side of the house facing my neighbors bedrooms...supposedly intentional

I don't know, we had one large window which we wanted to switch to two smaller standard size ones and we were quoted $1000/window, so $2000.
That's without cutting through the wall.
