This dress costs $140 in the store and the shirt costs over $90, so I'm assuming people will be wearing it for shabbos. However, if I can buy this dress for $30 and shirt for $20, I would rather use it for weekday. Question is if it's too dressed up for weekday?
Any thoughts from fashionistes, moms or preschool morahs?

I think it's too much for weekday. Though I do see some kids that are dressed every day as if they're going to a simcha...

I think it depends. You can dress it up (with nice shoes and headband) or dress it down with more casual shoes and hairstyle.

I think they can go both ways

I would just assume you got them from Ali, as I assume with every fashion forward kid I see 🤷‍♂️. But if you can get for cheaper why not wear for shabbat still?

louisiella. Does that automatically make it shabbos, or can it still be weekday?

I would think poor child whose mother dresses them in stuffy clothes when they should be comfortable in leggings and a tshirt - nothing to do with shabbos vs weekday LOL

My kid can't be in leggings and a t-shirt. She needs to be in dresses. (she's in school)
My question was if the dress is fine for weekday or only for shabbos

This - it can go both ways.
When I buy something that can go both ways I put it on my hem Shabbos first.
It’s definitely better weekday, like to go to a bris or Upsherin.
I wouldn’t put this on for school

Where are you buying it from? Ali?

Just asking out of curiousity Smile

But, in answer to your question. Theoretically it can be okay for either, I don't actually think it looks so dressy and Shabbosdik. But, if many others in your community are wearing it for Shabbos, I probably wouldn't put it on for weekday.

You can get way cuter things for weekday from other places that aren’t a ripped off copy of something.

I’d think it’s a fugly dress. Why oh why are little girls wearing brown and beige and taupe? Not my little girl, that’s for sure
