Did I miss any? Are these all the high schools in Lakewood?

My daughter just started 8th grade and I am so nervous!
Can those with experience please share your info?
Level of frumkeit, crowd, academics level, warmth (or not), atmosphere in school, what's the principal like, teachers... anything else!

Thank you!

Bais Leah (heimishe, affiliated with Bais Rochel).
Bnos Basya
Bnot Yisroel is Sefardic, affiliated with Masoret Bnot Yisroel (I think)

Dont be nervous about h.s.

My daughter got in bh right away without $, pull..
We recently moved to lkwd and literally didn't know a soul in any of the h.s. we applied to and thankfully daughters teachers, principal liked her and she got in to the school we wanted.

Other advice I would say is apply to schools that make sense to your family.

My daughter also just started 8th grade but we don't live in Lakewood and as such, she will just continue on in the current BY school she has been in since preschool. However she was in sleepaway camp for the entire summer (2 separate camps) and she said that the constant conversation in both camps for this age was HIGH SCHOOLS, particularly the Lakewood situation. The Lakewood girls are nervous and my heart really went out to them and the situation. Much hatzlacha OP, and any other 8th grade mothers, this fellow Mom in OOTsville is rooting for you, that you are blessed with clarity and siyatta dishmaya and the process is as painless as possible.

Ooh forgot about Bnos Basya. How is that school doing? Did it take off well?
I know about Bais Leah and Ateres Nechama - Chassidish, and Maalot - Sephardi. (The elementary is Bnot Yisrael, the high school is called Maalot). I was listing the litvish schools.
I will add Bnos Basya and Aderes to the op.

Doesn't usually work that way.

Obviously we will apply to schools that make sense to our family. But no one's to say we will get in where we want. We need to have more than one choice, so we need to find out about numerous schools.

I think many of us have shared our experiences on some of the other HS threads in the last couple of years. I would suggest reading those first then asking specific questions about the schools you think sound appropriate for you.

Why dont you tell me about yourself , background, which elementary is your daughter in and then I can tell you which schools to apply to and some schools are easier, harder to get into then others.

They are all so so different! From Chassidish to Sefardi.
What are you looking for?

I want to be careful saying this, because I don't want to step on anyone's toes that didn't get into high school (if that's you, my heart and my tefillos are with you!) but the situation with Lakewood's high schools has VASTLY improved in the recent past because the new schools are finally catching up with enough slots (and B"H some of the newer schools are very popular, even first choices!). Not everyone will get into their first choice, but girls will get into schools these days.

I doubt you will get into Bais Shaindel or Bais yaakov if you don’t have very (very, very..) strong pull so you can probably cross those off your list.
You have more of a chance in the newer schools so it’s a good idea to focus on those.
Which elementary school is your daughter in now? Often an elementary school is affiliated with a high school.
