We LOVE chestnutts in our house. I never made with meat or chicken but when in season we toast every shabbos and have a "chestnut course".

You can buy the peeled, cooked ones that come in a bag and try them out. They are very starchy, somewhat like a baked potato- but with a sweeter and nuttier flavor.

typically you dont cook them, you roast them lightly with nothing added.
no salt or oil. keep it healthy
we love em
if u purchase galil pre packakged, they are lightly roasted and ready to eat
I guess if its on receipt, u take packaged and throw it in. see if u like it. shouldnt be bad.
