Wow that’s more than my entire salary and I work hard…
Aside for the actual tuition why in heavens is transportation that much??

Where we live there is no nearby MO school. Both high schools are about an hour away. Combine that with being in a small community and there aren't that many kids to split the cost of the bus.

And for my son we pay extra for him to have access to the "late bus" as he plays sports.

34k for 7 kids! This includes major discount because my husband runs the yeshiva and I have many boys. This includes girls highschool, elementary boys and playgroup. Oh wow! It's a lot but sounds cheap next to all the other numbers I'm seeing!

2 girls - I think appx 22,000
One kid in MO school - Between 11000-12000
Total for 3 kids is 33,000 or so.

My entire take-home pay is spent on tuition after taxes, insurance, etc.

MO

Elementary - $19,000 + $1500 bus
Girl - high school - $27,750 + $4000 bus
Boy - high school - $31,160 + $4200 bus

So $87000 and change for 3 kids.

I suspect Bergen county schools, coming from Connecticut?

Not CT. One Bergen County school.

But same idea.

Mesiras nefesh for our children's education.

This is far more than double our annual mortgage payments.

513 shekel for my oldest
100 shekel for my next one
1700 shekel for my baby for full time daycare
(About $700 per month for 12 months)
Next year will be less because gan is almost free. All these fees come with a really good daily hot lunch.

Israel is awesome!! We paid $12000 for one child and $8500 for the second before we left the states.
