I teach, and this year my almost 3 year old son is in my school. This never happened before so it’s new for me. It’s fun to drop him off when I go to work, but otherwise I don’t know what to do. His classroom is right near the main office and every time I need to go to the office I have to peek around the corners and make sure he isn’t there (there’s a small yard in between so whenever he’s playing he would be able to see me go in). He runs up to me and then cries and cries when I leave him. I try to not go to that area but sometimes I need to. Any ideas?

Sorry but this is normal for a 3 year old. You’ll have to figure something out.

Can you come up with a plan with him? Something like if you see mommy in school I'll give you a hug and kiss and then you wave bye and run back to morah. Try role playing it. Or have stickers, treats on you to hand him, and tell him you'll give him one each time and he runs back to morah nicely.
