We just moved into a new house so budget quite tight but my girls room is really bothering me.
I have a crib a twin bed and a dresser, all totally mismatched.
The walls are bare and there is brown wood floors.
What can I do to brighten it up and make it look somewhat pretty and girly, without spending too much?

How much $ is too much?

I would say paint, a rug, window treatments, light fixture, linen... could all help it come together.

Are you able to paint the crib, bed frame and dresser so that that they all coordinate?
Add a rug to the floor , so that it’s not all dark brown.
You can paint the walls , add wall decals to fit a theme.
Coordinate linen and window treatments with the color scheme and theme.
Then add a couple of shelves to add picture frames, or other items you find that coordinate and go with the color scheme and theme.

For example for my daughters room I did pale pink and gold hearts and white furniture , shelves etc.

thanks for trying to help.
Bed is like a dark greyish fabric crib is light grey and dresser is light tan wood. I really don't like the dresser but too $$ to replace now.
I'd love if the room would be somewhat pinky.

Check out your local Craigslist for free or cheap furniture. Yad shniya as well.
Painting the room pink is the easiest job you can do to give it a brand new girlish look!
Look out for linen on sale. I look regularly on Bargain boutique deals and they often come up. If you know how to sew (or you know someone that does) buy extra set of linen and cut it to size of crib so all beds match.
(For example this set was on sale yesterday for $10. Sale usually last only one day so grab it when you see it if you like it!

thanks everyone.
Forgot to mention, there is a pink light fixture, the only cute thing in the room lol.
I'd love to paint but it's too expensive to hire someone to do and too big of an undertaking to do myself.
I'd totally do a large wall dec though cuz the empty wall above the bed really bothers me. Any suggestions?
A rug is great idea and curtains.

My toddler sleeps on the bed with a a baby blanket and a random grey sheet. Should I get he a real blanket and linen set?
She's too little to make the bed every day.
The crib has a pink sheet and baby blanket.

Also there's a huge sliding door in the room .
Anything to hang on it?

Mazel tov upon your move! We also moved on a shoe string budget into a used old Apt didn't even paint or renovate! Dunno who was more disappointed, me or the kids lol.

Here's what we did to our girls room and I have to say it feels extra special that we did it ourselves and for so cheap. Also we added 2-3 things every few months which kept the excitement alive.

I painted the inside of their closets and the closet doors myself which already brightened things up.

They sell special spray paint for cribs and beds. I would highly recommend you try it. The results is really pretty cuz it paints evenly.

Bought a huge white fluffy area rug in Target to cover big part of the floor. White cheap sheer curtain at target too it adds that whimsical look

Bought white desk with gold accent legs in Walmart

Linen ombre colored in Ikea $15/set

decor pillows on Ali

Pretty sequinced framed Corkboard for the wall over the desk @ Amazing Savings

Pretty lamp @ ikea

its amazing what Lil stuff like that can do to brighten up a room!

I painted hideous areas of the apt all by myself and so proud of it. It was fun and the results was really awesome.

We stuck to the purple pink white colors and added gold as an accent.

My daughter has wood paneling and hard wood floor in her room. I really wanted to paint it when we moved in but we couldn't. When she switched from her crib to a bed, we added big flower decals from Walmart to her wall and a rug for her floor to make it look cuter.

Target has an awesome kids room decor line called pillowfort. Great finds.

H&m kids has some great stuff.

I personally wouldn’t worry about eye different color furniture.

Get coordinating linen for the bed and crib

Some coordination Knick knacks for the dresser

A couple of things to hang on the wall

A rug for the floor (personally I try to get washable)

IKEA has some great finds as well

Buy matching pink linen

https://www.thecloseoutconnect.....bmit=

Pink or white shades

Paint dresser grey to match, or white if that would make sense

Pink and gray rug

To decorate walls, print 8x10 pretty pictures (or similar) of your girls whose room it is. Hang on walls

Also buy letters of their names ( like this: https://www.amazon.com/s?k=woo.....oss_1) and decorate them paint pink and gray, add light pink and white pellets or fancy beads .. make it a project you do with your daughter (I did it)

I did my girls' room recently with white, pink, and gray. I got a gorgeous koala area rug with those colors, and ombre curtains in the same colors with a layer of tulle over it and little star cut outs (so at night they're black out except for stars shining through).ade a huge difference. If a theme rug is too much, a shag rug is cheaper and looks good.

I purchased matching duvet covers with pillow shams. I also purchased matching beds at $150 each, but that may not be an option. I also got each of the girls a hanging stuffed animal net in pink. The girls used sticker letter to label their room on the outside, and hung up their own artwork. We also have a pink wall mounted flower light from Ikea that I haven't put up yet, a pink mini trash can, and a white bookshelf.

I would paint the dresser white or light pink, or even cover with contact paper until you can get another one. I got a nice pink dresser and mirror from R&F with zero interest for 48 months if that's an option.

If u want any links let me know.

Thanks everyone for the suggestion.
First thing I want to get is shades because right now there are towels on the windows.

What color should I get? I tried these but they were really ugly and cheapy and made the room look worse
