I've been freezing orzo for years each Yom Tov.

I cook up the orzo. set aside. Then fry onions, diced peppers (two colors), and canned mushrooms. saute until soft. then add in the orzo with salt and pepper.

When taking out of freezer just make sure when rewarm in oven that its in a tightly sealed pan.
Enjoy!

Thank you! I just wanted to make sure the orzo doesn’t turn mushy or soggy. Probably the oil is keeping the texture.

Egg noodle orzo freezes beautifully. Pasta orzo, becomes a bit spongy.
