I make this sometimes, but add onions and craisins to the vegetables being sauteed.
Also just sauteed onions with salt and pepper mixed into cooked orzo is delicious.

I love chef chayas Orzo and salami recipe. Make Orzo
In a frying pan, saute and onion and salami. Add salt, pepper, some soy sauce, and onion soup mix. (Tbink she also adds mushrooms and maybe something else that I usually don't have on hand so I just skip it)
Then mix that into the orzo

Simplest, yet best orzo recipe:
Cook orzo
Saute (frozen bag cut-up cubed) 3 color peppers
Add black/white pepper & onion soup mix
Mix
You can saute in the Betty crocker for 5-10 minutes

I dice whatever vegetables I have, or whatever you like. Zuchinni, onions, peppers mushrooms, tomatoes etc. Salt and pepper and garlic.
Sauté and mix into the cooked Orzo. (I also season the Orzo as it's cooking)
Delicious.
