Reminder to have your winter wardrobes checked for shatnez. Many people are unaware that 100% wool clothing needs to be checked. And the more expensive the item, the more likely it is to contain shatnez (particularly mens suits and mens and womens wool coats). Uggs need checking according to most opinions. Duplicates need to be checked, sometimes only 1 will contain shatnez whilst the other is clear.
Many people are unaware of the importance and laws of this mitzva

Forgot to add buying in Jewish stores still need checking especially European childrenswear which aren't Jewish brands.

Yes! My son just bought a brooks brothers suit and it was found to have shatnez!!

I checked their opening hours and they closed tom, would have loved to give something in b4 yom tov.

Not sure of the hours, but on coney island, there's a lab in zundel berman sfarim store

My mother was a shaatnez tester for 25 years and Brooks Brothers were notorious for shaatnez.

Do all the kids sweaters really need to be tested?
Or is it only better wear?

Are you sure they’re all wool? Most of the ones l see are just wool look not actual wool. If it’s actual wool it’s a question for the Shatnez checker.

Knitwear only needs checking 40% and above
Everything else needs checking any amount
