Food is getting too expensive and I’ve really been stretching my limits on using leftovers. Would you use various kugels from rosh hashana?

Taste it. Smell it. If it seems ok than it's ok to eat.

no my rule is one week and out it goes after that you run the risk of food poising it's not worth it.

why take chances serve sandwiches instead it's cheaper and healthy.

I make kugel for that week and next week (double the recipe) and it's completely fine in the fridge. Still delicious.
I've done it with potato kugel and carrot kugel, can't vouch for any other kind.

Yeah, I used to have the one week rule too, but I’ve changed that to the week and a half limit for a while now (except for legumes).

I'm having the WORST stomach cramps for the past few days, must have eaten something off, so I would say that it doesn't pay, I'm literally out of commission .

I still have beet salad left over, and if it doesn't have mold then yes I think it's good to eat.
But if I had fish, meat, dairy anything, egg salad, soup....no. Kugels....maybe, depending on the kugel.

Whatever was leftover from RH I served last Shabbat but I throw out anything in the fridge that's been there for 7 days.
Next time I'd suggest you freeze the leftovers right away unless you plan to use them within a few days.
RH leftovers were cooked 14 days before this shabbat. That's a hard no for me.

I'm in the better safe than sorry boat. If cv you all end up with stomach aches you may lose a lot more money if you need medical care of something otc to help. Not to mention the time off of work/extra help needed.
