Looking for a doctor...don't even know what type I need?...for very bad back pain that's getting worse and worse by the day. Hurts when I take a deep breath, when I stretch my arms, when I move too fast. No recent injury, and I'm only 33. Any advice or suggestions?

Refua shelaima. I think you should start by seeing your primary care doctor ASAP. Ask him/her to guide you to the right specialist.

Rule out anything serious by an orthopedist.
If nothing other than a slipped disc, pinched nerve, muscle weakness, etc, then please read the following books: Dr. Sarno - healing back pain, and The Way Out by Alan Gordon. Saved my father and a few other people I know with severe back pain from getting surgery. Also helped me heal from severe back pain. It’s life changing.

I would ask regular doctor first and see if they can get to the bottom of it. If not then try columbia pres. in the city they are amazing.
