I found it so heart breaking
I never even heard of the story and I have a good friend from sea gate and have been there so many times.
after I read it I looked it up online to read more about the crash etc and found this

It's so terribly heartbreaking!

I found they missed out some details, like who brought their boys up, how have they been etc?

And does 'not talking' mean they she's brain dead? It didn't seem to mention it in enough detail but it sounds horrific!!

I read it over yom tov, but really shouldn't have.
It made me so sad, especially since the ending is so bleak.
May Chana and her family know of only joy!

Same, I thought the ending would at least be that Chany mostly recovered Sad

I just found a YouTube video taken in 2018 and the father says that she can communicate bh! Using her eyes. And that she gets better and better every day.

It wasn't so well explained in the story. Horrific all the same Sad

She cannot communicate these days. She’s still by her parents who are taking care of her. I believe her son is married, was raised by his grandparents

My opinion is that AMI Living was really amazing this Yom Tov. I didn’t read the AMI magazine set yet.

I still remember this like today. So tragic.
I seem to recall that the crash happened in the nine days but they seemed to intentionally make it seem that it didn’t, writing that chany spent shabbos Nachamu upstate before going on this vacation.

I checked the Hebrew date. You’re right. Weird that this piece of information was engraved so wrong in my mind all these years

This story is so tragic. I am relatives with 2 other people that died from the crash. I know that the father asks the story to be told over as a story of emunah. I have such a hard time seeing this story through his eyes. I should NOT have read it over yom tov.

It was so sad. Not appropriate for succos. Better for tisha baav. I couldn’t stop crying and the home birth story too. Ami was depressing this Yom tov. I loved mishpachs calligraphy
