When serving with chicken, I would do 1 lb of meat and 1/3 bag of barley and 1/3 bag of beans and 2 sweet potatoes and 2 onions for that amount I think.

I would do
2 cups beans
1 cup barley
(I like more beans then barley but feel free to change it up)
2 +pounds meat
8 potatoes

I use equal amouts of beans and barley. Usually 1/2 cup of each.
