Rebz Esther Reisman wrote a letter addressed to the women who performed in the Nashim tzidkanios album. It was a strongly worded rebuke of sorts for the hypocrisy of purporting to want to bring the geula closer while flouting daas Torah and tznius. (Read full article in the Binah)

On the inside flap of the back of the magazine was the ad in question, where you see the icon of a hand holding a smartphone
Did you see it?

(I will be honest that I enjoy the music put out by these women but have to admit that much of it makes me very uncomfortable.)

I haven’t heard the songs, but I’m curious why it makes you uncomfortable.

I found the letter/article off putting. I’m not Binah’s target audience but this was a real turn off.

I noticed the same thing - the strongly worded letter against the product and then the ad for the product in a prominent place in the magazine. Didn't know what to think.

I was just wondering what the reaction will be of the company who placed the ad there. It's pretty bold to accept a back page ad and then write a letter in that same magazine bashing it.

Among other things, being out there and relying on people to obey their request not to listen to them as women singing. ETA: And all the social media.

She's on the editorial board, so this can't be one of those "views do not represent" etc.
Odd about the ad. All I could think was, is it possible these are two separate things?

Very curious to read the actual letter. Is there a music video that goes withthis album, or is she just against the music album itself?

I know some of the women who produced and sang on that album. I think they are nashim tzidkaniot. They are incredibly talented and are filling a need in the frum community for kosher woman's music and entertainment.

What was the complaint against them? Can someone please post the letter?
