125 hall ( we cleaned up, including mopping, after so no additional fees)
250 food that I made and brought to hall, fancy disposables. Maybe less than that.
40 high school age photographer to take family pics and a few of the beginning of the event (1hr total)

Total ppl about 32, including us.

His suit was the same one for shabbos. We wore the same new shabbos clothes we got for Shabbos since it was different crowds.

We did not spend a lot, but had a beautiful affair. This is in Lakewood.

$3,100 - Hall & Food (incl waiters, mashgiach). I did my own centerpieces
$1,000 - Bar Mitzvah Boy Clothing
$2,500 - Tefillin
$2,500 - New Shaitel
$150 - Hair & Makeup
$1,000 - Photographer & Music
$650 - Invitations, Stamps, Benchers
? Bar Mitzvah Lessons
$500 - School Bar Mitzvah
$300 - Clothing for family (I bought at 70% sales from previous season)
$1000 - Shabbos kiddish in the neighborhood

Correct did not include shabbos. However I didnt do a ladies kiddush. So kiddush for the men, done by the shul is around 1000 and the meal was for some family and I did a lot of the cooking myself

My goodness…

I’m so grateful that we live out of town and are part of a low-key, sincere community where the expectations (barely any, you do what you want/can) are reasonable and attainable for everyone.
We’re a klei kodesh family and would NEVER be able (or want) to spend that kind of money for a bar mitzvah… how could we ever afford multiple children bH?!

Photographer for one hour before the event 200

Full wardrobe for my DS (chassidish) was close to 2000 (hats, shoes, reklech, bekishes, dry goods)
Rest of family clothes for night of bar mitzva 550
Hair and makeup 120
Babysitter for my baby around 60

We didn't do music or invitations. I did not get a new sheitel.

Tefillin - I have no idea, DH took care of it
Bar mitzvah lessons - about 700
