The teivah was not a boat. It floated miraculously. Where do we find a boat in Tanach? Can you prove that boats existed as far back as AVraham Avinu?

How did Noach know when all the species of animals had entered the teivah? He didn't know all the types of animals that existed, so how could he close the door?

My son had the question, how did Noach know which animals didn't sin, and could be brought into the teivah?
The answer was, that the door of the teivah opened itself to let those animals in. Is the answer to same, the door closed itself?

They came on their own. He asked Hashem this question- how will I collect every specie of animal, and Hashem send I will send them to you. Noach did have to check the animals to ensure they were perfect, without blemish. And Hashem closed and locked the door for him.

Why do you say the tevah wasn't a type of boat?

And what is miraculous about a wooden structure, waterproofed with pitch on the inside and out, floating? I mean it is an impressive engineering feat because it was so large and had to withstand harsh conditions, but why miraculous?
