Hi can someone please please help me from experience?
Is it true that I can get a certain amount of hours of help for a diagnosed child? (ADHD) I think it's called a "worker"
what other benefits can I get?
Would really appreciate any info! preferably from first hand experience
Thank you in advance !

Depends where you live. In NJ you don’t get anything.

A child with just ADHD will not qualify for opwdd but could qualify for health homes- you can call hamaspik, rayim or any other agencies to ask about it

He has a little anxiety can he get an official diagnosis or a little anxiety is something anyone with ADHD is likely to have and is therefore considered part of it and not dual? If u know..

That’s not correct. My child has adhd and is getting qualified for opwdd. You have to submit proof of diagnosis and medication and have the child be seen by a social worker. It is very worth it. The child gets a “worker” to help them a certain amount of hours per week plus “therapies” like swimming etc

I think this means giving up your regular private insurance. Please consider if that’s worth it, access to other better doctors. Good luck! There does seem to be so much available

Comfort health

Although I’m hearing there are other agencies that are better and easier to work with than comfort health 🤷‍♀️

Also I don’t think you have to give up your other insurance. If your child qualifies then they get the Medicaid in addition.
