Which one do you like better? They both have nice and similar sets. I like the shul set by Mitzvah kinder but it’s listed for $90 online.

a. they are the original
b. quality is way way better
c. I like their designs much better
d. I grew up on them
e. the reason they are more expensive is because kinder velt doesn't use a distributer

So interesting I like the kinder velt shabbos set Better than the mitzvah kinder.

I have both. I think mitzvah kinder is just "the name" at this point. To my kids and myself they're both the same.

I don’t have an opinion on the specific brands, but just because something came first, doesn’t mean it’s better.

The faces of the kinder velt characters are strangely distorted. Someone bought us a set and they all have crazy eyes!

If it helps, we just got the mitzva kinder shul set for my upsherin boy. He is obsessed. He happens to love going to shul so it was the perfect gift.
The only downside of this set is that there’s really not a lot of “mentchies”. Just two Totties and two Mommies.

But when the market is so niche and small, and product B is a clear ripoff of product A... and also happens to be of much inferior quality...

I think the newer kindervelt look much better, and more in proportion, than the older ones. I buy both. My son loves the minyan kindervelt set. But really all my kids want is to just amass as many characters as possible and they do their own thing, so I buy them when I come across some that look new to us.

Mitzvah kinder is by far better quality! Nicer and normal features. Size is proportional. figures are so much cuter!
Kindervelt tatty and baby figures are more or less the same size. They're not as sturdy.
the 2 are not to compare.

Mitzva Kinder is by far better. but because the other is cheaper, I buy the big sets and books Mitzva Kinder and then to "fill up" there box of mentchies so they can do all the weddings or whatever pretend scene better, we fill it in with some imitation mentchies
