Have you read it?
Is it worth reading?
Any major haskafic concerns?
Thanks!

Read it years ago. Cried through the book. Shows the power of little actions, little events and how it can change an entire person's (and therefore all those they interact with's) lives.
I dont recall any hashkafic issues except for it talks about heaven in a general sense. But no religion, G-d or other spirituality.
It was so powerful I want to read it again. Except I dont want a book to cry through now....

I don't remember the book. His books are sweet, but don't expect them to be perfectly aligned with your hashkafos. If you're already reading secular books, they're very innocent.

IIRC it's not heavy on the Christianity but he did have a relationship with this pastor. Albom's a philanthropist and he does a lot of work in Detroit. Which is not Jewish. But it's also about his giving a eulogy for his rabbi.
You have to understand who Albom is. A very sweet guy who's been married for years to a non-Jew. As he's made money through his writing (anything else? Idk), he's been giving it away and his big passion is his kids in Haiti. Kind of like Oprah and her girls in South Africa. These are his kids since he doesn't have any biological kids.
He gets a lot of sustenance from all forms of spirituality.
