There’s a casserole side dish recipe I’ve seen, calling for canned string beans and topped with French’s (style) crispy onions. Don’t know how to post it, but you can Google it.

Sautee bread crumbs in oil till browned. Mix with green beans and a little salt.
Sautee lots of onions, crushed garlic and pepper strips till salt. Mix with green beans and a little soft. I make both. They're both delicious.

combine with canned mushrooms. with liquid from both. bring to a boil, add corn starch dissolved in some water, bring back to simmer.
