Pareve cholent works well around here
Another super nutritious option is winter squash soup with red lentils in it (it melts you can’t tell and loads of protein) toss in a frozen kneidel and voila filling nutritious and relatively inexpensive

Some quick oven baked ideas

Frittata: Finely dice some veggies and add beaten eggs. Pour mixture into greased pan and bake Frittata until set. Serve wedges with steaming hot potatoes (wash, pricked and baked in a pan while the Frittata bakes).

Baked Fish: Cut up veggies and baby red potatoes and place on a cookie sheet. Toss with olive oil, s&p. Spread out and bake at 400 for 40 minutes
Cube fish. Toss with olive oil, garlic, paprika and salt until evenly coated. Arrange between baked vegetables and place pan back into the oven for 12 minutes.

Falafel: In a food processor, dump drained can chickpeas, an egg, some onion, garlic, parsley, cumin, coriander, salt and splash og oil. Process until smooth. Roll into balls and brush with oil. Bake at 425 for 40 minutes, turning over halfway through. Serve in pitas with diced veggies and dripping tehini.

Shakshuka: Mix together tomato sauce, smoked paprika, cumin, coriander, garlic, salt and pepper. Grease some ramekins and divide mixture between them. Crack an egg into the center of each one and bake at 425 for 13 minutes. (Also wrap baguettes or pita in foil and place in oven to warm.)
Serve each person their own ramekin along with warm crusty bread/baguettes and Israeli salad.

few things are as simple and hands off. I make a lentil rice casserole that’s pretty easy and quiche but nothing is just like chicken except for fish and maybe tofu in terms of ease
