Hi,
Are you a case manager? I'm interested in hearing what the job entails. What are the salary rates? Does it vary based on degree and experience?
Fill me in! Thanks!

ETA which agency do you work for?

It's a job where you are mostly on the phone talking to people. Whether a parent, provider, principal etc. You need to place your students with providers, make sure they are happy, assist parents with iep meetings and progress reports, get documents signed, upload all your cases in a portal where providers can bill, field lots of questions from parents and providers etc

This isn't everything the job entails and it can vary from agency to agency but this is based on 1 agency which I am familiar with. Hope it's helpful.

Service Coordinator in Jewish agency in Brooklyn, part time, about 16-20 hours per week, 30k-40k depending on how many cases I take, you can take more cases and make more money. It involves a lot of paperwork because you're dealing with the city, talking to parents, making sure forms are signed and submitted, finding therapists, making sure therapy is running smoothly, dealing with complaints from parents and from therapists, meetings and reviews, adding services...It can be very rewarding yet frustrating at the same time. Need a BA or two years experience.

Can you have a BA in any field or is it a specific type of degree?
