I’m a sahm and have an 18mo- she’s getting bored of our toys and I’m not sure what to get next..I don’t have tons of room so nothing too large or expensive.
Thanks!

Magnatiles is the best investment.cheaper brands are good too. It's enjoyed up until 10 years old at least. That and mentchies are so worth it!

Magnatiles and toy cars. It really is a hard age to get toys for. Their attention span and creativity/dramatic play level is usually not that developed yet.

Aside from the other great ideas already mentioned:

something like this, my kids loved it at around 20 months old. Under 2 needs supervision:

pegs, I had a different brand and threw out the string. mine looked like this shape and whistled a bit when blown and the kids loved them better than other style pegs

These stickers - they are puffy and easy for the kids to peel off themselves and also easy for me to peel off walls and floors

I like duplo lego because the kids like it and they can play with it for years

These tracks that go with duplo lego are easy for kids to put together themselves, but you may need to wait a few months for your child to be old enough for it and you'll also need cars/trains to go with it

I have almost all these suggestions here. All amAzing ideas. The main ones I suggest are the learning resources food toys. They are by far the best quality, nice, cute and last forever. And also the little people sets. You don’t need to buy the big items like farm house or school bus: they hav lots of small cars and mentchies. My kids can spend hours with tjem

Whether you buy new toys or not, do a rotation system. Have a minimal amount of toys out at once and keep rotating. Your kid will feel like they’re getting new toy’s constantly.

My 18 month old daughter loves her doll and doll carriage, mega blocks first builder building set, lil woodzeez animals.

But really, her favorite toys are me, my husband and her big brothers. She doesn't play independently for very long.

My 20 mo old loves to play with little farm animals. She also enjoys puzzles (wooden shape puzzles) and wooden blocks.
