8k a month on tuition 🤯. Is that concitered standard?

Depends where you live, how many kids you have, and what type of schools. MO schools are more expensive than yeshivishe.

Can I ask how much you make as an OT and where you work? (And what specific field)
I'm in school for OT and so nervous I won't be able to grow much.

can you quit? lol.
I regret doing OT and I graduated 2 years ago.
I work in bk I travel in. my hourly rate is 70$. sounds like a lot but think about all your absences and YT and legal holidays
My friends in speech are suffering (I think more) than I am. there is a big need for therapists since many many frum girls are waking up and realizing its not a great career anymore

I heard that speech therapists that work with geriatrics or stroke victims can do well.

my sis is a slp in a hospital and she makes next to nothing...
we live in NY.
the only worthwhile paying position for an slp is to work for the doe or be so talented in a specific niche like voice or fluency that people pay hundreds to see u.
for the average frum girl I cant say theyre raking it in doing speech
