My 5 year old is brilliant (of course..) has no patience for simple clicks, magnet tiles etc.
He's super creative with arts n crafts. Loves to do color by number type of things.
Any ideas for arts n crafts or building toys that will take him longer than 10 minutes?

my 5.5 plays for hours with playmobil, setting up scenes, acting it out...
you can also start a Lego collection if he is more into building
arts n crafts - just have an open supply of good materials, I spent hours as a kid in my mother's teaching closet. feathers, sequins, foam stickers, special scissors, construction paper with cool colors and patterns, etc

My son is older, but started around four and now creates real Lego art and architecture at this point. Look at the big book by Sean Kenney. If he gets into it, it’s an enjoyable outlet.
