Thinking of how to save a dollar, or rather how to earn a dollar….

I Feel like the world may be divided between these people lol…
Definitely see it with the people around me….

I’m definitely from the earn a dollar category….
I hate speculating on cheapest electricity options etc.

I'm a stay at home mom but my husband is the owner and he is always thinking about how to make more money! Constantly thinking about how to bring his business to the next level. He tried the other way of trying to save money and honestly that took way more energy. Not saying we spend money like crazy just saying that most energy definitely goes into the work

Work more hours, find a second job, invest money, start a side business. .

If you save money you can take that money and invest it. (in property, the stock market..) But you need to save it first.

I think both approaches can work well together.

Do I have a space to rent out? A driveway?
Can I take on an easy side job? Can my husband?
Can I sell something in my house
Can I resell something I own.

If I have cash to invest then the options get bigger…
Etc.

Is there an option for none? Money is stressful. I budget and find appropriate jobs when necessary but once things are set up I just go with the flow and follow what I set up and try not to overthink it at all.

I don't really think about money much. DH earns a decent living that doesn't quite meet our needs but we have investments that provide the rest. I'm not so into buying things, but the kids need clothing and shoes and whatnot. I try to shop sales but sometimes I'm willing to spend more for convenience sale. We lead a life that is simple for our surroundings but probably luxurious for other people. We try to teach our children the difference between wanting and needing and hopefully that will keep the conspicuous consumption down.

Again, it’s not like I think about it all the time.
But if I come up short at the end of the month etc I usually think of how to earn more, vs how to penny pinch.
