I prefer not to spend more than $100, but if needed up to $150.
Color and B/W
Duplex printing
Don't care about wifi, I'll be connecting with USB anyway.
User friendly
Ability to buy off brand ink, unless their ink is super cheap.
It's just for home use, not business.
A recommendation based on own experience please. This is will be our third printer in less than 10 years, probably closer to 8 years... Not much luck with them so far.

This is what I have, but it's $200 - more expensive than you wanted.

It is a megatank, it uses liquid ink that is refilled with a bottle. The ink lasts for AGES! We've had ours for a year and a half and not needed to buy more ink yet, despite lots of use.

I also like that it has a big paper tray.

Only downside for me is that the duplex printing is pretty slow. Not terrible but annoying if I'm printing a long document.

I have a Canon MG7720, bought about 4 years ago. I think they still offer it, but it looks insanely expensive now - I don't believe I paid anything near the price I see it for on Amazon. But it's a wonderful printer, and if Canon makes something in your price range, I would look into it.
