I lost my card erev shabbos and I desperately need to buy bread and eggs for my children
I have the card number on my phone I am wondering if any grocery can take just the number?

You'll also need the CVV number and expiration date
Personally I'd do an online pick up or delivery order from a place like ShopRite, Shaw's, stop n shop, etc.
Or if you have a smartphone, upload the info to your smart wallet and use tap to pay with Samsung, Apple, or Google

In my store we just need the number and the expiration date. Not the CVV but some stores might need that.

Credit card?
You can call any grocery that does deliveries and place an order over the phone to have them deliver to your home. Or you can place the order online like at Gourmet Glatt or Breadberry, just entering your credit card information.
If you're referring to EBT card, that's a different story.

If it is EBT, KRM and Bingo will NOT allow it.
I would try for a smaller store
