Anybody know of a well priced place that does alterations? Was just quoted $170 by a seamstress for taking in sleeves and cutting a dress that cost about half that amount.

I just got a skirt hemmed and it coated 45$! I was shocked.

It's really expensive nowadays, I ran around getting quotes and they were all $45-60 for basic hems. Insanity.

It’s pretty crazy these days!
I have a bunch of girls and each hem really adds up!
I found someone to teach me basics for $150. And bought a machine in Walmart for $100. I’m no professional but for hemming a robe or a dress for my kids or taking in a sweater for myself, I really save money bh!!
I still use a seamstress for delicate stuff for myself but mostly avoid them for the high price

People in their houses usually take less than cleaners.
